02 · Assess

High and low areas marked against what the finished floor needs.

Yellow gauges spread across a glossy floor in a corner room
03 · Correct

Grinding or spot levelling where that is enough; full-area levelling when the floor needs it.

04 · Verify

Each area checked against the agreed acceptance before flooring.

Full-area levelling

When the floor is out over a wider area.

After preparation (grinding where needed, then primer), self-levelling compound is poured across the whole area, so the finished floor goes down on one flat base.

Local correction

A few high spots or dips; the rest of the floor is acceptable.

Full-area levelling

Problems spread across the room or floor plate.

FAQ

Questions.

Do you only level, or also install the flooring?

Both. Levelling and subfloor preparation as a separate scope, or levelling followed by flooring installation, as in the Harrison Hot Springs residential tower.

Can you prepare floors for another flooring contractor?

Yes. Preparation can be quoted on its own, with the acceptance for each area agreed before work starts.

Can the work follow our floor-by-floor schedule?

Staging by area or floor is agreed with the general contractor before work starts, together with access and material logistics.

Flatness or levelness: which one matters for my floor?

Most finished floors need a flat base: no bumps or dips over short distances. Levelness (how close the floor is to horizontal) matters when elevations, thresholds or adjoining areas must match; when a project needs it, it is agreed in writing.

Is this slab lifting or mudjacking?

No. Slab lifting raises sunken concrete slabs. This work prepares floors so the finished flooring can go down flat.
